The Library's StoryWalk® at Al Lease Park in Kent was created in partnership with Kent Parks and Recreation and made possible by a generous gift from Friends of Kent Free Library. The StoryWalk® begins near the playground and follows the path around the lake.
A StoryWalk® combines literacy with physical activity, placing book pages at regular intervals along a walking path, encouraging visitors to walk (or run, or skip, or hop) as they read the book, enjoy the pictures, and follow activity prompts along the way.
Books are changed seasonally and for special events. The current book will be on display from August 27 - the end of November 2025.
