All volunteers are required to attend a training meeting to learn their job responsibilities on Tuesday, May 26 at 7 PM. This meeting will be held in the Meeting Room on the second floor.
To become a Teen Volunteer, you must agree to the following rules:
- I will do the best I can to work the shifts that I have agreed to work. If I cannot make it to a shift, I will call the Youth Services Department as soon as possible and email Youth Services Manager Lisa Kellar to notify her of my absence. Multiple missed shifts will result in expulsion.
- I will be courteous and polite to patrons, library staff, and other teen volunteers. I will provide good customer service and assist patrons with kindness and respect.
- I will serve in a way that reflects positively on myself and Kent Free Library by demonstrating professionalism in my interactions, behavior, and dress. This includes prioritizing helping patrons, avoiding inappropriate language and conversation, and abstaining from cell phone use during shifts.
- I will adhere to Kent Free Library policies at all times.
Breaking one or more of these rules may result in revocation of volunteer status.
