Founded in 2015, Friends of Kent Free Library is a volunteer organization that supports library services, collections, and programs.

The Fall Book Sale will be October 16 - 19 in the Library's Lower Level.

Monthly Meetings

Friends of Kent Free Library meet on the 3rd Monday of the month at 7 PM in the Bumphrey Room in January, March, May, July, September, and November. Meetings are open to the public and subject to change.

Volunteer Opportunities - Book Sorting

Volunteers sort books most Tuesdays from 1 - 3 PM. Volunteers must be current Friends members. Volunteers receive a coupon to exchange for a free book for each shift worked. For more information, email friendsofkfl@gmail.com.

Donate Books and Other Materials

Donors may drop off acceptable materials in the collection bin inside the parking lot entrance. Large donations, more than one bag or box at a time, may be arranged by contacting the Library Director, Stacey Richardson, at stacey.richardson@kentfreelibrary.org.

Donations will not be accepted October 1 - October 31 and December 15 - January 31.

Board of Directors

A seven-member Board of Directors governs Friends of Kent Free Library. Board members are elected annually. The Friends work in collaboration with the library’s Director and Board of Trustees to support and enhance the programs and services the library offers to the community.
