Applications to serve on the library's Board of Trustees are currently available at the Information Desk. Applications are due by October 12, 2026, at 5 pm and will be considered by the Board of Education at their December meeting. Board members are appointed by the Kent Board of Education.
Trustee Responsibilities
Trustees are responsible for the overall governance of the library and its budget, creating policies, overseeing the provision of library service to meet the needs of Kent City School District residents, and hiring a Library Director and Fiscal Officer. Term Information
Library Board of Trustees members serve a voluntary 4-year term. The term for this opening begins on January 1, 2027.
