Individuals or groups requesting signatures on petitions are permitted on sidewalks and other outdoor public areas around the Kent Free Library.
Petitioners are not allowed to gather signatures inside the library.
Petitioners may not interfere with patrons accessing library entrances or library services and may not harass patrons in an effort to obtain signatures.
If a petition gatherer does try to do so in the library, or blocks someone from entering the library, or harasses someone, they will be given one warning and then asked to leave library property, in accordance with the Patron Behavior guidelines.
