Spring 2008

SPRING STORY TIMES (6 week session)

 

Registration is required for the following story times & begins on Monday, March  24th.

Patrons may register in person at the Children’s Room desk or by telephone. 

Spring story times begin the week of April 6th and end the week of May 11th

 

Baby Time   

For children ages 6 - 24 months (by March 1, 2008) and a favorite adult.                    

 Wednesdays             11:00 a.m.

             

Toddler Tales           

For 2 & 3 year-old children (by March 1, 2008) and a favorite adult.

 Mondays                     10:00 a.m.                                      

 Wednesdays             10:00 a.m.

            

Preschool Place      

For 4 & 5 year-old children (by March 1, 2008).

            Mondays                    1:30 p.m.

  

 

No registration is required for the following story times.  Drop in anytime!

 

Music Together       

All ages are invited to Mr. Jim for music & stories.  Children must be accompanied by an adult.

            Mondays                    7:00 p.m.

           Tuesdays                   10:00 a.m.

           Tuesdays                   11:30 a.m.

 

Night Owls               

Children ages 2 & up and their families are invited to wear their pajamas to this special evening story time.

            Thursdays                   7:00 p.m.

 

 

TALES AND TREATS

For students in grades K, 1 & 2.

Join us for stories, activities, snacks and fun each week.

Registration is required and begins one in advance of each session.

Program will meet in the Children’s Room at 4:30 p.m. on the following Tuesdays:

April 8   Snakes Alive
April 15   Down on the Farm
April 22   Earth Day, Hooray!
April 29   Rain, Rain, Go Away

CHILDREN'S PROGRAMS

Kitchen Kids

For students in grades K, 1 & 2 with a favorite adult.

Registration is required and begins one week in advance of each session.

Art Smart

For students in grades 3, 4 & 5.

Learn about famous artists and then create your own masterpiece.

Registration is required and begins one week in advance of each session.

Program will meet in the craft room at 4:30 p.m. on the following Wednesdays:

April 23                                  Alexander Calder: Mobiles

Tween Time

For students in grades 3, 4, & 5.

Registration is required for each program and begins one week in advance of each session.   Tween time will meet at 4:30 p.m. on the following Thursdays:

 

March 20                   Spring Break Pizza Taste Off  

April 17                      Kitchen Science

 

Stuffed Animal Pet Show

Saturday, April 5th at 1:00 p.m.

In the spirit of Knuffle Bunny by Mo Willems, we’re having a pet show to celebrate your favorite stuffed toy!   Children of all ages are welcome to enter one stuffed animal in the show.   Who will have the oldest pet?  Which is the largest?  Who owns scariest pet?  Which pet is best dressed?  Find out by visiting the library!   Pet owners are required to register for this event.  Registration will begin on Saturday, March 22nd in the Children’s Room.   This program will be held in the Meeting Room.  

Puppets with Pizazz: The Reluctant Dragons

Saturday, April 19th at 11:00 a.m.

Emmy-award winning puppeteer, Nancy Sander, will delight children of all ages with her original puppet show.  Tickets are required for this event and will be distributed on a first-come, first-served basis beginning Monday, March 3rd  in the Children’s Room.
